Amid all the hoohah around the cancelled/reinstated fast 7am Manchester to London train, it's worth remembering that the journey time with HS2 built in full was projected as 67 minutes...

@lner.co.uk I know it might be a little early to tell but I'm expecting to be on 1Y11 tomorrow morning. Are you expecting disruption from the weather today to impact service tomorrow?

Well it’s been a busy few months of travel with work. I’ve visited the US, UAE, Poland, and Estonia. I’ve met customers, team mates, and the general public and it’s been a great experience. I’m looking forward to some time at home now though.

Dear BlueSkyers. Sadly I'm getting many reports of scammers pretending to be me here, incl messaging people with 'investments' . Pls share/help me spread word that, as you know, THIS IS MY ONLY BLUE SKY account (proved as my handle is an official MoneySavingExpert one). All others are scams

So proud of my son (9) this weekend. He went to the GKR National Karate Championship. He was well prepared but nervous. While the big news is that he won bronze for his kumite that wasn’t what I was most impressed by. 1/2

Hi #Teesside local history fans.

You'll be aware that we're approaching the bicentenary of the Stockton & Darlington Railway.

But did you know that it had a rival, the Clarence, that's largely been lost to history?

Read on, thanks to @nebylines.bsky.social

Well it was a long day of travel today. I love that I can travel Middlesbrough to Paris by rail. I think there is something quite exciting about international rail.
