I really hate it when scientists keep saying that “we need to rebuild trust in science,” because it implies that scientists are to blame for the mistrust rather than the millions of dollars of dark money that have funded political attacks on science in order to advance a far right agenda.

Just had one of the last telehealth visits for many years to come, since the current government regime has seen fit to not allow those... for... reasons???? Because why would poor or disabled people need an option that doesn't need travel? Oh wait, I guess we're anti-american threats.

Believe it or not, plenty of fat folks do understand nutrition. Yes, I know, outside aisles, not middle aisles. Processed food baaaaad, "whole" foods gooood. But see, I'm poor, and I'm disabled. processed carbs are cheap and don't take all my energy to make. Cooking can wipe me out for days.

Diabetes can likely be cured, eventually,with CRISPR, or whatever comes after it. Both T1 and T2 are genetic. The first is an asmruimmune disease that wrecks the pancreas. The second is a genetic disorder that causes insulin resistance. Many things exacerbate, but genetics are the cause. The key.
