What’s most disturbing isn’t the insult itself, but how quickly it’s dismissed as normal. Democracies rely on shared standards of dignity. When the head of state behaves like this, it corrodes those standards from the top down.
why is it normal that the president whine about random citizens being losers. how does this not just embarrass everyone. completely child-like behavior

The frustrating part is that real solutions already exist. Generics, transparent pricing, and nonprofit models like Cost Plus Drugs demonstrably lower costs. Slapping a political brand on overpriced meds doesn’t help patients — it confuses them.
More than half the drugs on the TrumpRx site have a cheaper generic version on the market.

Pristiq, an antidepressant, is available with a TrumpRx coupon for ~$200 for a 30-day supply.

A generic version is on GoodRx for less than $30 and Mark Cuban's CostPlusDrugs for $16.65.
How TrumpRx drug prices compare to generic alternatives
Patients could save more buying non-branded copycat drugs, even if they don't have insurance.

The real scandal may not be who appears in the files, but how quickly institutions lose interest once accountability becomes uncomfortable. Democracy doesn’t usually collapse through secret cabals — it erodes through indifference, deference, and a lack of sustained scrutiny.
Is everyone in DC compromised by Epstein? Otherwise the disgusting things we’ve seen in the files would have a little more attention paid to them, dontcha think? 🤷‍♂️

The attempt to scapegoat artists, athletes, and voters only underscores how disconnected this regime has become. Disapproval isn’t being manufactured — it’s being earned. And the midterms will be a referendum on that reality.

Jokes like this land because there’s already a deep unease about the direction of enforcement and dehumanization. When the universe hands you symbolism, it’s usually because something real is being recognized beneath it.

It’s a reminder that inclusion isn’t a modern invention. Mid-century America openly taught children that diversity was part of the national fabric, and that standing up to prejudice was a civic duty.

It’s petty, it’s mean-spirited, and yet somehow it feels like a rare moment of cultural alignment. Everyone understood the assignment and executed it flawlessly.
I’m watching a lot of petty, mean-spirited haters dunking on Kid Rock on every platform and seriously you all rock.

This is what selective outrage looks like. Power is acceptable when it targets the ‘right’ people. They didn’t abandon their principles — they revealed they never had them.
Leaders of the so-called “pro-life, small government” party who relentlessly warn of tyranny are standing by as masked agents roam the country and brutalize its people. The hypocrisy isn’t surprising — but it’s staggering. Remember this.

A lot of this year’s spots leaned heavily on celebrities and safe humor instead of bold storytelling — which means fewer memorable moments.
Super Bowl ads used to define the culture. People literally quoted them for years after the ads aired.

The ads today are just slop. Don’t know if I saw a single good one.

What’s most frustrating isn’t just the lack of basic civics knowledge — it’s how confidently that ignorance gets weaponized. Puerto Ricans are Americans, period. If someone’s definition of ‘American’ can’t accommodate them, the definition is the problem.
It’s crazy to me, how many Americans still think Puerto Rico is a foreign country. And insulting them.

Every Puerto Rican is an American citizen. And when any of them move to the mainland, they are able to vote for the president of the United States.

This explains the disconnect perfectly. Being talked about isn’t the same as being liked, and being liked isn’t the same as being respected. Trump seems unable to grasp that distinction, particularly in cultures that prize understatement, self-awareness, and courtesy over bravado and bluster.

Honestly, some of the loudest ‘outrage’ feels like people trying to find something to be mad about. Meanwhile, millions of others were loving the performance and celebrating what felt like a moment of inclusion and fun.
