I think they should put Bond’s mind in a new body, perhaps one that looks a little more like mine. I think I could play him as long as I didn’t have to do my own stunts
James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”
Anthony Horowitz, author of three 007 novels, says:
“You can't have him wake up in shower and saying it was all a dream."

despicable racist fantasy on display here but also this is a perma-steroidal attention-seeking washed up former athlete, who also sought to distinguish himself by creating racial outrage during his career, ultimately because the ball-playing didn't speak for itself en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Ro...

While I wasn’t cynical I do think that I could have dared to hope and to share that hope much more than I did. Instead I dwelt more on the absurd depravity of the other side, and fair enough: what I said about that was true. But what’s much more interesting is what we can do. More than I thought!

I voted for Sliwa, because I feel that the Left is best at its purest, away from the power which corrupts: when it understands itself as an instrument of philosophically inflected social critique, as a venue for historical nostalgia, and as a rhetorically maximal denunciation of the way of the world

A total and utter hero
something I never understood about Dick Cheney was that he made such a clear and actually prescient case against the total invasion of Iraq in the 90s, then later did it anyway, and all of the negative consequences he predicted did come to pass. what changed? www.youtube.com/watch?v=w75c...

I do find it interesting that we're constantly asked to entertain speculation that a dime of increase in social spending might spook business and the wealthy, while unbelievably disruptive interventions like this are never brought into the conversation.
Transportation chief Sean Duffy threatened to ground all U.S. flights amid the ongoing shutdown, warning "we'll shut the whole airspace down."

As the stalemate drags into the second month, it's adding more potential risk to the aviation system and putting a further strain on air traffic control staf...

I'm sorry to anyone that was planning on coming to see me DJ at Berghain this weekend, they asked what I was going to play and I said I Need a Freak. The song by the Egyptian Lover, not in real life. I like the "error" aggressive bass tone. "Too old school." Gig cancelled youtu.be/FPfIUZrLrX4?...

Next time someone tells you what AI will be able to do tomorrow think about all of those years and all that science and still no one has invented cigarettes that are good for you. No such thing as momentum here. You solve problems or don’t

One thing about Kyla is that there's only one Kyla. She's not polishing the same gems everybody else is polishing.
Another thing about Kyla is that reading her poems improves your own poetry. "Oh, that's how to be yourself!"
Another thing about Kyla is she has a book for sale!

I would like to see a comparison between Tolkien and Wagner as modern myth-makers, both drawing on the Arthurian and Norse traditions and as well as the Gothic. Both successful and artistically accomplished in the execution. But why do we want that? Why can no one seem to do it again?

near where I grew up there was a famous slumlord who actually did subdivide single family homes into as many as a dozen cells, one hesitates to call them rooms, and would sometimes burn them down for insurance. this was indeed a blight. but it had nothing to do with colour or language or migration
Vance says it is "totally reasonable and acceptable" for people to not want to live next door to people who speak a different language than they do

Cuomosexuals, we've got a big chance to deliver this thing for Andy next Thursday, so let's TURN OUR PHONES OFF and focus until then on visualizing "Mamdani" in various cartoon-like predicaments. The power is in our minds #cuomoscreenfreechallenge #andystyle

Seems every writer eventually has to say so but I am not writing about any real person, including myself, in my stories, but am operating in a medium called “fiction.” Still less am I processing grudges.
