This afternoon's cocktail: A Mai Tai variation with pistachio orgeat. The rum blend: 3 parts agricole, 1 part blackstrap. Tasty, but I'd like the pistachio to be more pronounced; further tweaking seems indicated.

This is the Delmonico Special, a delightful appetizer of a cocktail. 45 ml gin,15 ml cognac, 15 ml sweet vermouth, 15 ml blanc vermouth (you can use dry, but then I'd go 20/10 with the sweet) and 2 dashes of Angostura bitters.

Weather's nice again today, so another cocktail experiment. Today's is a Greyhound's Tooth: vodka, Bénédictine, bitters and grapefruit juice. I was a little heavy-handed with the bitters. And yes, it's the wrong glass. Bite me.

Expanding my cocktail repertoire: this is an English Garden: Gin, elderflower liqueur and apple juice. A refreshing drink for summer afternoons; this one came out a bit heavy on the gin, though.
