What an incredibly uneven, surface level analysis of the sentient object romance subgenre. Did anyone else read this?
Genre Alert: Women Who Are Sexually Attracted to Airplanes… And Other Non-Sentient Objects
If you’ve spent any time around books in the last five years, you’ve heard at least a dozen romance tropes: enemies to lovers, age gap, grumpy-sunshine. These shorthands describing the dynamics of …

Media childhood trauma came up during dishwashing discussion.

Me: "I'm still not over Artax in the Swamp of Sadness."
My mom: "Don't say that. If I can get over Old Yeller, you can get over that."
Me: "I'm not over Old Yeller either!"

I have somehow found myself in the middle of reading six books between book clubs, ARCs, and mood reading. I don't like it. That's officially too many.

At least I'll finish two of those today, a third one tomorrow, and I've got until Thursday to finish another.

This right here. Not only is each Prime Mating Agency book a joy to read, they're an excellent class in worldbuilding.
Finished 'I Married Amreth' by @regineabel.bsky.social ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 📚💙 The worlds, narratives, & cultures that the author is able to create are so rich, unique, & complex. Each book is an a enjoyable blend of engaging plot & sweetly steamy romance🔥. 📚🌶 #booksky #romancereader #scifiromance #alienromance 📚🪐

First day of filming: Daenerys (cat) gets mad when she's shooed out of the shot; spends the afternoon sulking.

Second day of filming: Gracie (cat) gets all up in the shot's business; regally poses and watches out of frame when shooed away. Dany behaves.

"I need a folder on my phone just for all the book club and library apps" is a sentence that my 12-year-old self wandering around the library next to my junior high school would never have dreamed up.

I just finished re-reading Fahrenheit 451 for the first time in years and, while it absolutely has an important and complex message that's SUPER RELEVANT today, the misogyny in there is just. Yikes. 💙📚

Instead of sleeping last night, I read two novellas. I wanted to sleep, but sleep and I are apparently on a break.

EVEN WHEN I PUT THE BOOK(S) DOWN, sleep wouldn't come. (Don't @ me, people, I really did try everything. This relationship problem is not my fault.)

I'm currently listening to an audiobook edition of Fahrenheit 451 performed by Tim Robbins. Which is great! Just sometimes, my brain trips over his voice in such a way that I end up in Shawshank. 💙📚
