You might ask yourself, as I did, if this piece will prove to be a pretentiously justified rejection of empathy and a denial of the trauma of rape.

The answer is yes.

A common assumption is that throughout history, people have experienced the same basic range of emotions. A radical field of history now challenges this assumption, Gal Beckerman reports. theatln.tc/KD2QRX9Y

Donald Trump thought he was smarter than his Harvard advisor. So he ignored the warning and raised China's tariffs from 2% to 54%. Now Americans pay $3,800 per year for it. Here's how one arrogant decision backfired on the whole U.S. economy.

Again, it is utterly shameful & demonstrates the total failure of all of our political institutions that threatening our closest NATO allies with territorial conquest has not immediately ended this presidency.
Denmark lost more troops per capita in the post 9/11 war on Afghanistan. Saying they “are not a good ally” because they won’t surrender their territories to the US is lunacy. We are betraying our allies to satisfy the whims of a would-be Emperor for whom the US is not enough.
They’re again advocating against Denmark when it comes to Greenland

The U.S. government just banned five people from entering the country because it doesn’t like their speech. This ban, according to the State Department, is necessary to protect free speech.

If that sounds insane to you, congratulations on your reading comprehension.

Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin were both the sons of Italian parents. Back in that time, the racist Stephen Millers of the time didn't regard Italians as Anglo-Saxon enough to be welcome as immigrants to the United States.

Over the past year, Trump has increased the net worth of his businesses by $3 billion. Think of how the crypto and artificial intelligence industries now dominate Congress. It is a fusion of public power and private wealth alien to the American experience.

When Trump rants about "free speech," what he really means is that he wants to censor anyone who points out his lies.

European (and others) who publish factual information about hate groups to counteract their propaganda are being banned from entering the USA.

In the US, he is attacking news orgs.

We can’t blame any nation for not trusting the United States under Trump.

I just hope they forgive us after he’s gone, quickly.

This is profoundly un-American.

No—that's not right.

It's *anti*-American.

It's hatred of the United States and its founding documents and all its people and all its traditions.

The person who wrote and approved this is a weirdo who detests everything that America stands for.

Another one to file under "This is NOT normal behaviour by a supposed democracy and ally".

This isn't about censorship, if it was the US would be sanctioning Russian and Chinese government figures who really are suppressing free speech.

CBS pulled the 60 Minutes CECOT segment, but Canada aired it anyway.

The segment was streaming via Global TV and YouTube (since taken down). Having a VPN set to Canada helped. 🇨🇦

My take, there is no reason we shouldn’t see this. Most of it was known information, easily searchable.
