EVERY house we looked at in altadena had a high fire risk, so we looked and bought in Pasadena even though there was less inventory. EVERY house i looked at in Altadena burned in Eaton, four weeks after we closed. Eaton missed our house by five blocks.

the risk rating worked. shame it’s gone.
Lol, Zillow tried to rate the climate risks facing individual properties. The real estate industry *hated* it, precisely because it worked -- it made selling risky properties more difficult. So they rebelled & Zillow caved.

Don't look up!

but I’m incredibly grateful to all the staff that looked after me and happy to be back home resting now.

What resonates is all the messages, calls, and love I’ve received from so many of you.

I don’t think Nvidia lost half a trillion before lunch because the Chinese model showed a lack of a need for high end GPUs (Probably just went around sanctions).

I think it's a real bubble collapse because US investors have no interest in competitive marketplaces. The race to monopoly is cancelled.

Arguably, what the Biden chip ban has done is to incentivize some of the world's smartest AI researchers to figure out how to build AI systems without requiring a ton of the latest Nvidia chips.

Teacher here. Kids who use AI are settling and not noticing the massive volume of mistakes these technologies make. It’s like cranking up the careless mistakes knob to infinity.
Awful. OpenAI (and other AI cos) are making a hard push for getting AI into K-12 schools, which they see as a burgeoning market. Most teachers I've spoken to, meanwhile, say AI is terrible.

Outside of computer class, there should be no gen AI in K12 schools, period.
