Random reminder that banning members of Congress from trading stock is a total no brainer.

They can use privileged information to make money on the stock market, while they’re supposed to be working for you.

Make no mistake — it’s legalized corruption.

Kamala Harris has rarely spoken out after leaving Washington in January. In her first major address since then, she acknowledged Democratic fears and warned of a constitutional crisis. Read more: nyti.ms/4cUxR7v

I just think it’s funny that the president thinks making everything more expensive will be no big deal in a nation that exists because its ancestors overthrew their government rather than pay an extra tax on tea

Are you a woman who changed your name when you got married?

Congress is considering a bill that could make it much harder for you to vote.

Remember, the Holocaust didn’t start with gas chambers in Auschwitz.

It started with politicians dividing the people with “us vs. them”.

It started with intolerance and hate speech.

It started when people stopped caring, became desensitized, and turned a blind eye.

Remember.

Did you know? Modern farming has boosted crop yields but reduced nutrients. For example, bananas have lost key minerals, apples have 40% less vitamin C, and broccoli has half the calcium it used to. How can we turn back time or correct course?

Senate Republicans tried to pass a bill that would have interfered with some of the most personal, painful decisions during pregnancy. It would have criminalized nurses and doctors who use their best medical judgment.

I voted no. And Senate Democrats blocked it.

The TikTok ban will not solve our problem. Unlike most other wealthy countries, we have underdeveloped, primitive data privacy and rights. The government could have made laws that give us ownership and rights to our data. They didn't because Meta/Twitter et al. don't want that to happen.
Concerns about TikTok’s threats are valid—issues like data privacy, content manipulation, and foreign influence deserve serious attention. But these concerns aren’t being applied equally to other platforms, and that’s the problem.
