Don’t get me wrong: There’s a lot of great conversations happening here, but I don’t think it’s reaching the people who need to hear it.

I’ve been on Bluesky for two weeks and I fear we’re all preaching to the choir. That’s the result of the fragmented media landscape we’re living in—we’re all customizing our timelines and creating echo chambers of information.

there are simply too many stories and not enough paid journalists to write them all. this is by design.

i feel like a lot of americans are going to learn they actually like and rely on government a lot more than they were told they did

This—among the slew of other disappearing federal data right now—is terrifying.

This is a really good indicator that one of the things folks will have to do is: organize by calling their neighbors & telling them what’s up & showing them what to do.

current mood: we’re gonna do it because we’ve gotta do it but it really sucks that we have to do it

i think what's so striking about it is that it's so rare for us to see these people just have to sit in silence and listen
