One of the very fundamental points of Sora as a character is how adults around him keep trying to over-intellectualize and convolute the concept of the human heart, and are inevitably blindsided by Sora's honesty and innocence cutting through the bullshit to the emotional core of every conflict.

I've noticed that a lot of older game developers are prone to fall for the allure of new technology, be it AI, NFTs, etc. They want to be 'with it', to be on the cutting edge, to be just as ground breaking as when they were young. But it only ends up giving them more granpa energy, funnily enough.

As I've matured, I've grown to really appreciate the themes and story of Origami King and I really wish more people would start giving it an earnest chance instead of writing it off as Tanabe trying to own the Twitter chuds or whatever.
