Today’s #LunchBreakPhotography. Wumu gate, generally known as the junior South Gate, is located ~1 mile west of the South Gate. It used to be a morning market commonly patronized by local residents, yet it has evolved into a tourism hot spot in recent years. Love seeing all the hustle and bustle!

The previous (and original) owners of my house took great care of it. This means the careless one is...me. 😥

Recently we had a bunch of expired potato chips at work so I ate potato chips every day and I lost some weight until we gave the rest to the fire department. Great diet. 10/10 recommend.

Authoritarianism needs the death of academic institutions because it needs the death of free discourse. And in a lot of places in the world, including where I’m from, they *did* destroy it with awful consequences. Here too it’s been a steady progression of turning universities into hedge funds.
