It's absolutely bananas that the only person who can save HBO is Donald Trump.

If you're going to (correctly) identify supply as the main cause of homelessness in Los Angeles, then you also have to admit that rent control laws are exacerbating the problem.
This is a really excellent comprehensive @latimes.com piece on the causes of homelessness that makes clear:
1) Homelessness is above all a housing issue, and
2) Both conservatives (who gut public housing) and liberals (NIMBYism dressed up as community concerns) bear the blame.

Build more housing.
The real story of how L.A. became the epicenter of America's homeless crisis
The surprising story, in words and pictures, behind the homeless crisis in Los Angeles — a tale of law enforcement, housing and economic crosswinds.

Was shopping at American Apparel and Kiefer Sutherland walks in and says, "All I need are some white, v-neck tee shirts. Why is this so hard?"
Right folks. Feeling rather down at the moment so bringing back an oldie

Stop what you’re doing for one second and watch @cameronkasky.bsky.social on Gavin Newsom and his new podcast.

He sums it all up perfectly in 90 seconds.

Just saw a farmer say, "you don't have to admit you were wrong, you have to admit you were lied to, " and idk that seems like a good framing to call people in

It's becoming clear that Patrick Soon-Shiong axed that endorsement of Kamala to make nice with Trump but attributed it to his daughter's politics because it was politically expedient to do so at the time. He co-opted the left to deliver for the right. I'll bet you the Germans have a word for this.
