It’s kind of wild how my Instagram stories will get 200+ views and then when I post something politics- or activism-related, stories barely clear 40 views until they expire and my numbers go back up 🤪

Tonight I ate movie theater popcorn from a bucket that had Dominic Sessa’s face on it, and for a few hours life seemed good.

Thinking about how Reagan said “The nine scariest words in the English language are ‘I’m from the government and I’m here to help,’” & decades of conservatives took that to heart and dismantled everything good the government does for the people, and now they cheer this www.reddit.com/r/illinois/s...

BREAKING: SCOTUS lets Trump administration implement anti-trans, anti-nonbinary passport policy.

The Democratic appointees, led by Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, dissented. The ruling, which applies during litigation, effectively reverses two lower court rulings.

one of my favorite movies of the year is on VOD now!
Steamy PLAINCLOTHES is a thriller all about the erotics of shame.

Tom Blyth is a Syracuse cop in the 90s who entraps men in mall bathrooms. When he finds himself in a stall with Russell Tovey, he must confront the fact that he’s not so different than his marks. Out 9/19!

Cops going aggro on Sunset near Echo Park in LA after the Dodgers Win. Shooting people with less lethals from point blank range, horses running people and press down. Literally minutes before, fireworks in the street

The fact that Dodgers fans have to deal with our local police state just to watch the fucking game is psycho shit.
Los Angeles, CA -

LAPD once again calling unlawful assembly outside of the Douglas bar as fans are watching the dodger game via laptop and radio the bar turned the tv off. About 30 minutes ago, they called it for the first time and said 5 minutes. Now giving 20 minutes to disperse. Top of the 10th.

Los Angeles, CA -

The game hasn’t ended yet, but LAPD is calling an unlawful assembly on Douglas and Sunset. A large contingent of police in riot helmets blocking the street.

This technology is presented as a frightening totalitarian overreach in the dystopian near-future film HAPPYEND, which I saw in theaters… *checks notes* nine days ago.

The media's complete lack of curiosity over our nearly 80 year old President's health when he has permanent bruising on his right hand, swollen ankles, facial drooping, disappeared for days from public view twice in the last 2 months and just had an unexplained MRI is notable

The actual finding here is that a huge percentage of the population believes things that are not true. Democrats objectively did not spend significant time on climate change or LGBTQ issues in the last election campaign.
Duh. Those of us on the ground last year actually speaking with middle class/working class voters and who heard from these voters every single day the same - “Trump is an asshole, but Democrats are out of touch” - could’ve saved my new political party a lot of time & money producing this “report.”👇

A fun thing about my photos of Sunday’s protest getting almost 8 million views on Reddit — so many comments about a show called “The Rookie” that’s apparently been on TV since 2018 and is now most people’s point of reference for the LAPD, I guess???

This morning I spoke to LA City Council about what I witnessed on October 18, at No Kings 2.0, as LAPD on horseback swept in and attacked a peaceful protest.

LAPD Chief Jim McDonnell should be removed for the way his officers have handled the last few months of unrest.
