Pushing NFTs in 2023 is absurd. It’s not just dumb grift, it’s also outdated. That bird has flown, honey. The tulip market isn’t going to rebound.

There needs to be a “lower volume” button in addition to mute

There are some people I really like who post every 30 seconds and it would be nice to just get the hits

Someone on Mastodon described Bsky as "a bunch of people hanging around in the parking lot after the mall has closed" and I thought it was A) accurate and B) pretty great actually

Bird Fact! While most red birds owe their redness to a variety of plant pigments known as carotenoids, the Western tanager gets its head feathers from a rare pigment called rhodoxanthin. Unable to make this substance on their own, Western tanagers probably obtain it from insects in their diet.

Bird Fact! The yellow-rumped warbler is the only warbler able to digest the waxes found in bayberries and wax myrtles. Its ability to use these fruits allows it to winter farther north than other warblers, sometimes as far north as Newfoundland.

The corporate rainbow washing starts...

I am very curious what makes this a 'Pride' shirt. They could have at least highlighted some of their queer/trans characters... Give me a Wiccan/Hulkling shirt right now.

Are they saying that all of these are confirmed bisexual? If so, I'm on board.

My heart goes out to all the late night comedy writers out there on the picket line today. Ron DeSantis is out here begging to be mocked into oblivion, and they just have to stand by and let him for the greater good.

Stay strong, folks. He’s not getting un-hilarious anytime soon.

Bird Fact! In response to predators, American avocets give a series of call notes that gradually rise in pitch, simulating the Doppler effect and making its approach seem faster than it actually is.

One of my friends who works at a bank just said "So for the first time today I spoke to someone who is dead through one of those apps that has a real person translate their texts" and for a moment I was convinced they now had apps to 'communicate' with dead people via AI or something (He meant deaf)

It’s surprising to me how in a span of months, I went through the following stages of belief:

- I want to buy a Tesla
- I don’t trust Tesla Full Self-Driving
- I don’t trust Autopilot anywhere
- I don’t trust riding in a Tesla
- I don’t trust Teslas anywhere

All this from one man buying Twitter.

Bird Fact of the Day: The brown-headed cowbird is North America’s most common “brood parasite.” A female cowbird makes no nest of her own, but instead lays her eggs in the nests of other bird species, who then raise the young cowbirds.
