Easily several hundred people have packed into this plaza in Chicago's North Center tonight in response to ICE abducting a daycare worker early this morning.
This is a neighborhood that has largely been spared until now from the "Midway Blitz" terror campaign. But everyone knows someone affected.

School lunches get a bad rap, but they're healthier than the average packed lunch. And making them free for all amplifies academic and health benefits for low-income kids by removing stigma/shame.
So I'm glad Colorado voted to raise taxes on high-income households to make school meals free for all.

If you own a gun, please keep it safely locked away. In the past few (3?) weeks we have TWO tragedies involving a child and an unsecure gun in the home. One child was in my school district and one lived maybe a mile from my house. Both of these situations were 100% avoidable.

Bonus points if you find clusters that you label as "low" "medium" "high" and "mixed"
It’s astonishing how many researchers seem to believe that a cluster analysis is such a sensible analysis that it needn’t even be justified through a coherent research question. Just cluster analysis go brrrrr

Same. Which is why I don’t really know what to do when students say reading 3-4 psych articles per week per class is too heavy. But I was majoring in English lit.
not trying to write a thinkpiece or anything, but this is basically all I did all four years of college—read a book per week in each history or lit class (so, for me, that often meant 4-5 books/week), participate in a 2- or 3-hour seminar once a week, and write longass research papers on my own time
Important update from two months into my “experiment” (lol) assigning college juniors and seniors to read whole physical books and then having a seminar where they use the physical book and physical notebooks and their ideas and questions to fill three hours of class time:
It rules

I would actually guess that the more interactive an online training is the less I learn. Please let me just watch one hour-long video instead of clicking through 24 short videos. Let me read one multi-page document of text instead of clicking through 40 short paragraphs screen by screen.
