Nearly 60 countries have similar Climate change laws because they WORK - reducing emissions, bringing down bills, and restoring nature. 🌳

Signs of drought are everywhere in the Canadian Maritimes. This is McMaster Mill Falls, just outside of Greenwood, Nova Scotia. The first pic was taken this week, the second in Oct 2024. It's going to take a long time for rivers and lakes to recover once the rains do finally return.

The partner of a friend tells me the reason I don’t blame immigration for the housing crisis is because I use the wrong ‘social media’. I replied “No, I have a brain capable of critical thinking.” They got up and left accusing me of saying they are stupid. So they are the victim and I am the bad guy

Where an online search for a particular painting leaps into a league of its own is by making you look at, and appreciate, the 'lesser,' lights of British art, such as Stanley Reed. This is 'The Seamstress,' from 1941.

Indeed. So, you should be reminding everyone that the “Deal Maker” can’t make a deal, and the man who would be King and says he can do anything he wants as President, paints himself as a “Victim” whenever he doesn’t get his way.

Literally had this conversation with @zoejardiniere.bsky.social last week. Podcast out later today! An immigrant is a doctor, a care worker, an academic, often a member of our armed forces. But sure, post pictures of young men on rubber boats.
Is there a reason I ask that the Times are using a picture of asylum seekers in a boat to describe rules for migrants who came on legal routes such as skilled worker visas for doctors?
Tough new conditions to be imposed on migrants who want to settle in the UK will not apply to more than a million people who arrived in the UK under the post-Brexit immigration surge
