This is insane. I know Condé Nast is more than @wired.com but Wired has been putting mainstream media to shame this whole year on investigative journalism. As a result, hey've been getting great subscriber growth. Don't punish the people responsible for company success!
UNACCEPTABLE: Our members are flooding Slack, demanding answers after we were notified by Condé Nast management that they AGAIN want to lay off union members.

When I got cancer,, I was halfway through chemotherapy and radiation therapy when Blue Cross decided I was "out of network" and wouldn't pay for my treatments anymore.
To save my own life, I continued to get treatment but I was stuck with a $130,000.00 bill. It took years to pay that off

Does anyone else feel lately that going into your corporate job is like jacking into the Matrix? Work is just a mirage or dream while living in the real world, and "going" to work is more code switch and masking, than transit to a new place. I've never felt more like a visitor at work than I do now.
