You can lie about reality, but it doesn't change it. You can lie about the problems you face, but it will not solve them. You can kill messengers who speak the truth, but it doesn't make the message false. Attempting to hide reality doesn't hide its consequences; people will know and act accordingly

This is where we need to see State Attorneys General band together to take this to court.
Trump admin is threatening to withhold federal education funding from states that refuse to comply with their (unconstitutional) interpretation of DEI as illegal racial discrimination under Title VI.

The 'truth' really hurts. Do they not see that the growth of their wealth has coincided with the growth of the "health, education, and knowledge" of the rest of the population? Do they think buying and selling to each other will grow their wealth?
The US is undergoing the worst self-inflicted destruction of health, education, and knowledge creation infrastructure since the great leap forward. We will all be substantially less educated, poorer, and sicker while millions will die from completely preventable causes. It's civilizational suicide.

DOGE clearly stands for 'destruction of government efficiency.' There is nothing being done in any agency that enhances government efficiency. The Trump regime wants failures. They think people will blame "government" for the problems not the regime. The public protests show they are wrong.

The Trump/Musk cuts/firings have resulted from a single goal - slashing the Federal budget. They do so with total ignorance of what is being cut and who is being fired. It is simply dollars. Rehiring personnel or reinstating funding requires knowledge of details of programs, which they lack.

It is crushing to see the Republican (MAGA) party have so little respect for the things that made this country great. It is pure cowardice. The irony of Mitch McConnell being the only senator in that party to vote against the insanity is no comfort. Dark and dangerous times ahead.

What percentage of the dollars Trump/Musk slash from the Federal budget will be redirected to programs that help the American people, whose tax dollars they are "saving?" I predict zero. The "savings" will be used to justify tax cuts for the obscenely wealthy and corporations.

With the unlawful overtake of government agency networks by Musk and associates it is clear that the strategy is: We are going to take what we want until you stop us, and we don’t believe you can stop us. The watchdog agencies are neutered and the courts are too slow.

It is clear that the Trump regime's definition of DEI is "dismiss expertise and intelligence." The nominees that have been, and current are, undergoing Senate hearings vividly illustrate the dismissal of expertise and intelligence in their selections

Here are some useful links to websites tracking the new regime's efforts to erase information on governmental efforts toward environmental justice. Knowledge is power (which they know all too well).
The new White House has already deleted dozens of environmental justice websites and reports. Worry not, they’re all backed up on various independent university websites. eelp.law.harvard.edu/tracker-type...

These are important questions for Senators to ask Pete Hegseth. I can't imagine satisfactory answers would be forthcoming.
🚨🚨As Pete Hegseth heads into his Senate confirmation, his lack of qualifications and ties to Republican culture wars threaten military readiness, healthcare, and alliances. Senators must ask the tough questions—or be held accountable.

Here are just a few. (THREAD)

This thread is enlightening. Trump is an expert in legal delay tactics. When coupled with compliant judges (e.g., Cannon, SCOTUS) the failure to see justice done before the election was inevitable.

An important post. The word "regime" is the key. We definitely want to avoid normalizing this 'thing' and calling it a regime seems most appropriate..
Why the "Mump Regime"? For a new world we need new words. Facing the coming Musk-Trump regime, it will not be enough to rely on the standard terms ("administration," "presidency", and the like). That normalizes the abnormal.

I just want to share this because of its importance. RFK Jr is a danger to the health of this country,
People, please do not listen to the incoming incompetent administration. Donald Trump’s mishandling of COVID-19 led to the death of over a million Americans.

Listening to RFK Jr will be hazardous to your health.

Learn from the lessons of history.

You have identified a core failing of Trump supporters. Sadly, I have no confidence that the Senators who are providing "scrutiny" now will actually do so when it matters. It is the public's scrutiny and outrage that is driving any changes in nominees, not the moral spine of Republican Senators,
I wish these senators were as thorough in their scrutiny in deciding to support the president as they are his nominees.
It's kinda laughable that they turn a blind eye to Trump's CONVICTION but now they are sticking to their morals about these nominees. #GTFOH

Write, call, text or email your Senators. Keep the pressure on.
Some of these Trump nominees are truly horrific. Clearly the goal here is to seriously damage our institutions.

This is where our continued pushback, press reports, and senate pressure can make a difference. It worked on Gaetz. Let’s keep at it.
