A discussion sparked by a piece whose opening argument was that Larry Summers was the tragic, rational victim of a feminized woke mob
Never forget that just a week ago, Ross Douthat and the NYTimes were asking if women ruined the workplace.

i think if you ride public transit enough you learn that most weird behavior is not dangerous, and conversely i think driving a car teaches you that everyone is trying to kill you at all times

UNRWA has food for the entire population for over three months — stockpiled and ready also in Al Arish, Egypt.

The supplies are available. The systems are in place.

Open the gates. Let UNRWA deliver.
1 million children are waiting.

Pretty wild to make your entire case about how immigrants are lawless freeloaders, but having to go to their workplaces and court hearings to arrest them.

Defendants are presumed innocent unless convicted. Every US Atty (or so I thought) knows you can’t weigh in on guilt like this.

NEW: ALA is going to court to stop the President’s attempts to illegally dismantle the Institute of Museum & Library Services.

The President does not have the authority to destroy a federal agency. That's why we're taking action with our co-plaintiff @afscme.bsky.social. #ForOurLibraries (1/3)

This is cowardice is what it is.
I scanned dozens of newspapers from around the U.S. & world. On average, international newspapers cover the widespread protests against Trump/Musk and for democracy much more prominently on their covers than those in the U.S.
This isn’t due to deadlines, protests were daytime in the U.S. #handsoff

SICKENING—Trump’s DHS just deported a surgeon from Brown—who is here legally on an H1B visa that doesn’t expire until 2027, & committed no crimes. Trained in the U.S. at Ohio State, University of Washington, and Yale as a **transplant surgeon**, she is a highly trained doctor on kidney transplants.

5. Jane (1718-1741), daughter of Rose, Cambridge, MA

Jane was enslaved by the Harvard Steward, as were her mother, 3 younger siblings, and other adults. They did the daily work of feeding Harvard students and caring for dorms and grounds.

Jane, age 22, is buried across from Harvard's main gate.
