Fortunately, when we know how, and have the desire to, we can negate their grip on us by thinking the central thought of that belief, such as “The rule of law is applied equally,” and say, “Hell NO. That’s NOT true!!” and replacing it with something more accurate.

There’s no need for any of us to get stuck with beliefs that are wrecking our lives. Beliefs aren’t “things.” A belief is simply a thought we’ve had, that we then affirm by saying “Yes!! That’s true!!” with heightened emotions.

My husband worked doubles as an ICU physician during the pandemic. He came home, showered, and slept in a different room for 3 months.
