If you can't get to GoDaddy right now, make sure to type godaddy.com with https & www. If I type it without https or www, it doesn't work.

This is an error for GoDaddy right now, but it's what happens *all the time* if you use their "domain forwarding" service on one of your domains. It's trash.

I've wondered this for a while: why don't blue states band together and provide healthcare for their citizens? Start off with NY, CA and IL and then have state legislatures vote into the system? This seems so much more realistic than change at a national level.

DEI and White House deals to lower drug prices are two sides of the same coin. Corporations do these things strategically to protect their profits. Politicians are afraid of legislation so they treat these corporate choices like meaningful public policy decisions.

Irvine Welsh complaining about neoliberalism (if only for a brief second) is something I could inject into my old veins every single day.

Google: layout shifts are bad for user experience.

Also Google: layout shifts galore in workspace accounts as they bolt on AI to everything with no ability to turn it off.

Harvard redid its whole homepage to push back against the administration’s demands. I mean, this is just a website but I think it’s kind of a great PR move: www.harvard.edu

My goodness I love New Orleans. I just got back from my 6th trip to that amazing city. I miss it already. Here's a photo of breakfast at Molly's Rise and Shine on Magazine.

Every year I build an NCAA bracket in spreadsheets. This year's is a thing of beauty. Men's and Women's brackets. Individual brackets and consolidated views. Oh yes. This is precisely how much I enjoy making a good Google Sheet.

There are more important things, and I know this is petty and a first world problem, but I will be extremely unhappy if Trump forces me to drink California Merlot and Cab instead of Côtes du Rhône, Albariño, Nebbiolo, Soave, and Txakolina.

Stereolab finally released "Cobra and Phases Group Play Voltage in the Milky NIght" (1999) on vinyl. This has always been my favorite Stereolab album and I think it's underrated. Here's a cool song from this album that switches between 5/4 and 7/8: youtu.be/e5XaMfrMKaM?... #nowspinning #vinyl

Random discovery many years after the fact: the philosopher John Dewey once lived on South University in Ann Arbor where Village Corner was located. I had no idea. That's where I bought my first beer and also where I learned that 9/11 had happened. It closed in 2010 to make way for a high rise.

Here's a #homecooking tip for anyone who uses a lot of garlic. Buy a Costco of peeled garlic (3 lbs), put it in a food processor, then freeze it in ice cube trays covered with foil or plastic wrap. Can be moved to ziplock bags after frozen. I do this every few months and save tons of time overall.
