I would play the hell out of Corcerian. Very few franchises are so naturally aligned on the cuteness/sadism axes.

Oh that was a day one purchase for me. It doesn’t scratch the Sorcerian itch but it does feel a lot like the games I’d make myself as a Wizardry-obsessed only child with lots of graph paper.

This and Final Fire Pro Wrestling were both also released at like $15 brand new. I remember going into GameStop to buy both and having the guy at the counter scoff and tell me that I should get on board with this new thing called AAA games instead.

Lmao I was reading this post as I got this notification. Daisenryaku is generally just one step too grognard for me but maybe if I’m allowed to retire I can finally dig into it.

It requires a ton of rewriting my brain from playing against the computer, so I’ve just been completely wrecked in the three real matches I’ve played.

I have a tiny rolling cart next to my tv that is half notebooks/fountain pen stuff and half stupid PS1/PS2 controllers for one series of games.
