An eclectic assortment of organic molecules and highly impure water in the shape of a professional rando and technomantic adept (fourth class). Turtle-shaped turtle girl who loves turtles. Unrepentently trans and queer af.

Tiny wee little thing. I don't know what it was called, or anything about it. It didn't exist the previous day and was gone the following morning. But for one glorious afternoon I got to appreciate its ethereal fairytale delicacy, and I feel like a better person for it.

When the broken-hearted people
living in the world agree
There will be an answer
Let it be

For though they may be parted
there is still a chance that they will see
There will be an answer
Let it be

And when the night is cloudy
there is still a light that shines on me
Shine until tomorrow
Let it be

There are two wolves inside me.

help. I was never designed to contain large canids. my doctors are flummoxed. they don't know what to do. I don't know what to do. I'm splitting at the seams. it's getting worse.

oh shit oh fuck I think they're getting into a fight.

Why am I fearful and angry every time I see an American flag on a car on the road, or flying from a house? Do I hate or fear our country? No. I feel like it's been co-opted as a symbol by those on the right who would see trans folk gone. But we're American too, and we love this country just as much.

Post a picture of who you wanted to be as a little kid.

I dunno, does "older teenager" count as "little kid"?

On the left.

For the people who say AI art is just pixels and get over yourself in making a stink about it, obviously you’re not an artist possibly having your original artwork stolen and someone else making a profit off what you worked hard on. Theft is theft and someone’s livelihood stolen is important too.

Just a reminder for con organizers, even outside immigration risks, this is genuinely all that is still relatively safe for gnc attendees in America, 2025.

I pay taxes, and have for over thirty years, because I hold jobs consistently.

I played baseball casually and for my church team as a kid.

I have written many poems, including haiku and sonnets.

I have dated my current partner for over six years. Previous partners, also dated for years.

As many of you know the Declaration of Independence contains a list of charges laid against King George by the colonists. What is old is new again. Do any of these sound familiar:
He has refused his Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.

Birbs I got to listen to waking up and laying in bed this morning: Black-capped chickadee, northern flicker, and the omnipresent house finches.

Some days there are California scrub jays, European starlings, American robins, savannah sparrows, bushtits, and recently even a brown-headed cowbird.

It is, apparently, #SapphicSaturday.

I don't have a picture of adorable lesbians to share, but I am so caught up in the spirit of the day that I think I just might marry my partner today.

Oh, "the end of the Covid-19 pandemic"? When was that, exactly? Can somebody give me a specific date when it ended? Because as far as my inexpert ass can tell, IT'S STILL HERE, and has not gotten better in any substantive way beyond our ability and willingness to ignore it.
"Angry, disappointed, frustrated"--Scientists were making progress on vaccines and antivirals for the next pandemic--until this week, when the Trump administration abruptly told them to stop. Here's my story with @apoorvanyt.bsky.social Gift link: nyti.ms/43Xz77q

Federal officials cited the end of the Covid-19 pandemic in halting the research. But much of the work was focused on preventing outbreaks of other pathogens.

Happy hump day, friendos. You've made it halfway through the hard part of the week. Be gentle with yourself and others. Drink water. Don't forget your meds. Touch grass if reasonably practical. Practice self-care even if not reasonably practical. We made it this far, we can make it to the weekend.

Assuming you're not intentionally a transphobe, please just ditch Harry Potter. There's plenty of much, MUCH better-written fantasy made by authors who aren't absolute shit.

And if you ARE intentionally a transphobe, kindly either fuck off or educate yourself, whichever you're capable of.

Jeffrey Goldberg thinking he was being pranked and then realizing he was actually just in the war plans group chat is such a good microcosm of how it feels to be alive right now, everything seems fake until you realize it’s actually real and incredibly stupid

Who are the five writers that made you?

Isaac Asimov
C.J. Cherryh
Louis L'Amour
Iain Banks
Dennis McKiernan
Who are the five writers that made you?

Robin Mckinley
Anne McCaffrey
Chris Claremont
William Gibson
And, ugh, Piers Anthony. I was ELEVEN and he wrote a pun-based fantasy series! With one book where the hero befriends a giant jumping spider!

All formative, but Terry Pratchett ruled my world l.
Who are the five writers that made you?

I don't think these are *the* five that shape me as I am right now, but everyone on the list helped steer me to where I am.

Jack Chalker (very gender)
A. Bertram Chandler (informs my webcomic)
Samuel R. Delaney (ditto)
David Simon
Hunter S. Thompson

When in the past I have voiced interest in being fucked by a dude, today's events were not remotely what I was envisioning. I was thinking more along the lines of sundresses than genocide.
