How does Moscow view Donald Trump at the end of 2025? One Russian paper today: “The US leader’s philosophy is closer to the values of Russia’s president, not the politicians of the Old World…he sees Europe as a liberal stronghold to be destroyed…” #ReadingRussia youtu.be/7EwZNk6KgHU

The alleged attack on Putin’s residence shows how fragile U.S. security guarantees could be. Russia can claim it, Ukraine deny it, and Trump says he was angry without evidence. I would not trust Russia not to stage a false flag, nor trust Trump not to take it at face value and void the guarantees.

Why do smart people keep asking questions like: "How come Trump doesn't realize Putin is using disinformation?"

He *does* understand it, just like he understands when he lies through his teeth on any number of issues.

He's a Russian asset.

Ask yourself, "What would a compromised leader trying to destroy America from within do differently?" Nothing, this is all going according to plan.

Another beautiful Shchedryk performance amidst ruins.

It was set in what used to be a DTEK thermal power plant — now destroyed by russia.

The contrast between russia’s destructive nature and the Ukrainian will to create beauty even in the darkest times is palpable.

Putin didn’t want Kellogg. He wouldn’t be pliable enough for Russian demands, and was “too hostile.”

Putin wanted a negotiator who “didn’t know much about Russia” and would reliably echo Putin's lines on Ukraine.
Hence the insistence that Witkoff meet Putin without U.S. government or CIA officials.
