Bitch u don’t know what I’m doin offline
1. If America were fascist right now, I would not be posting here. Neither would you.

Instead, I - and you - would be trying to build networks of people *offline* who can support and protect each other, in the dark, rather than yelling at the president and his stooges in our own names. /2

might rewatch mission hill in his honor
Bill Oakley shared this sad news on Twitter, hadn’t seen it here yet: Dan McGrath has passed away.

A fantastic writer for SNL, Simpsons, Mission Hill (he wrote many fan’s favorite episode), King of the Hill, The PJs, and Gravity Falls. Any comedy nerd of the last 40 years knows so much of his work

so WMUR frames it as a "heckler". comments on socials, tiktok, reddit, etc, all see it for what it is. An old grandma Karen getting defensive about the harm she's caused. She had one job and she failed at it. WMUR finishes the piece with Shaheen reminding us to vote for her daughter. Good luck.

Since everyone is rightly focused on the Epstein files, now would be a good time to remind you:

Child marriage is legal in 34 states across the US. That’s almost 70% of this nation.

How about we end that?

If you ever wonder why your artist friend is so pissed off whenever they see AI slop used instead of real, human-created art, it's exactly what you think:
How is AI *really* impacting jobs?

Henley Chiu, the CTO of Revealera, a jobs data analysis firm, analyzed 180 million jobs listings in 2024 and 2025, in an effort to find out. Chiu found an:

-8% drop in all jobs postings
-~30% drop in art, photography, writing jobs
-22% drop in journalism jobs
What’s really going on with AI and jobs?
Record-breaking layoff reports, Amazon's mass firings, and a slump in entry level employment. Is AI behind it all?

wild how independent journalists are like “I’m traveling on my own dime to report on this” and every institutional journalist is emailing the worst man on earth being like, “yes, sir. I will print what you tell me and ONLY what you tell me. xoxo."

it happened again, i must find coats for cold women
I got called in a month ago to help get a woman a hat and coat because she didn't have the heat on in her home and the assistance hadn't kicked in. So her plan was to wear a hat and coat indoors at night. NH has the fourth largest median household income in the US.
In New Hampshire, about 20.9% of income-eligible households receive heating benefits, with an average benefit of $1,284 per household.

The International Criminal Court is ditching Microsoft Office, saying it’s too dependent on US tech, in favor of Open Desk, a German open source alternative.

The move comes after Microsoft revoked ICC head Karim Khan’s email access when he was sanctioned by the US for the warrant against Netanyahu.

Tragically, this never stops being relevant
Here's a resource to find local organizing groups in your area.

The most important thing is not to lose hope. Things are going to get dark, but we can always keep the light alive for each other.

Feel what you need to feel. Cry. Scream. Talk to the people you love. Then keep going.
