Yeah, not a fan, but the kid will eat it whenever she can.

Vid not working.

yeah, but there isn’t a “no Maccas” zone there (no such zone exists, not my area of expertise but I imagine it would be hard to craft one)

maybe they just need the right building style, the only cool looking Maccas I know of is down the road near me

I doubt it, but I also don’t get why. I don’t eat their food, but there are lots of shops with unappealing (to me) products that I’ll never buy from, I’m still not going to try to block them from existing - others evidently like it 🤷‍♂️

Seems like a bad decision - blocking a business without legal grounds, which will result in an inevitable loss at VCAT wasting ratepayer money and VCAT time.

If they don’t want Maccas then try to craft a zoning rule that excludes it, I guess, but vibes won’t cut it.

Sure. But before you get too impressed, remember anything you build in layers with pasta sheets is a "lasagne" by default, and anything you build in layers can be either or both a "lasagne" or a "trifle" - and this is essentially "an ecumenical matter". Hope that's useful.

Both probably factor in.

Absolutely, it’s incredible that there can be a standard you’re legally obliged to comply with but must pay to access.

I’m fully cashless, but can see some arguments for retaining it. Don’t think we should mandate it though, but if we do we should at least allow surcharging for it.

Source? Aligns with my expectations but I’d love to see the details.

Spoke a councillor recently about why they voted no on an application, they said they weren’t sure about it so voted no to let vcat sort it out (assuming the applicant takes it there at all).
