Megafloods and ice streams create similar landform expressions - did either create Martian outflow channels?

Anna Grau Galofre's team is asking this question. #EPSCDPS2025

Noémie Carlot presented an absolutely stunning map of Eberswalde delta fan, Mars. Look at all those lobes showing channel migration!

The river sediments were more resistant to erosion than the surrounding layers, creating intricate inverted channels. #EPSCDPS2025 #Mars

A very succinct summary of Christian's talk today at #EPSCDPS2025 on our work studying the effects of perchlorates on meteoritic organics 👇

3 things ahout Apophis we have to communicate as science community:
1) Apophis will safely pass the Earth
2) Apophis will safely pass the Earth

Friendly reminder that we've landed a spacecraft on Titan!

This photo was taken by the Huygens lander (Image: ESA/NASA).

Dragonfly Science Goals paraphrased fr Barnes et al. 2021:

How far has probiotic chemistry progressed on Titan?
What role do the deserts play in the methane cycle?
What are the transport mechanisms?
Where and how has liquid H2O been in contact with organics?

IS THERE LIFE ON TITAN?

NASA reviews are conducted using Dual Anonymous Peer Review, meaning you don't need to depend on name-recognition when submitting grant proposals.

You may need to be at a US-based institution, though.

My poster for #epscdps2025 is up!

Come stop by board F43 at tonight's poster session and learn why Venus could have been Earth-like only a few hundred million years ago...

I worked with Riccardo while I was at ESA. He was a fantastic scientist.
We are devastated by the news that Riccardo Pozzobon was involved in a tragic accident while on a research trip to the Mendenhall Glacier, Alaska, on 2 September 2025. There will be book of condolence at the main Europlanet stand at #EPSCDPS2025: www.europlanet.org/in-memory-of...

Today I learned that Titan has "ephemeral islands" i.e. islands or something floating that wasn't there in one (satellite radar) image, then appeared in a subsequent image. That's really cool. #EPSCDPS2025

Planetary Science friends:

Should I go to LPSC next year?

Yes - it is the best conference for your career and people have already forgotten your face

No - Are you crazy? It's in Texas, USA!
