One very happy Scotland supporter over here. Incredible result, and topping this tough group. 3 spectacular goals tonight. I’ve waited almost 3 decades for us to qualify for the World Cup.

Scotland snatching defeat from the jaws of victory as usual. Really hope Clark goes soon. Any pressure games, he sets the team up in a way that they have no confidence and play awful.

Trying to out reform Reform. This would make me even further embarrassed to be a UK citizen.
This is as bad as anything proposed by Reform.

Leaving refugees in permanent limbo and unable to build a new life in the UK would be a complete abdication of our humanitarian responsibilities

Has there ever been a more poignant end to a TV show? Incredible writing.
The finale of the great TV comedy show Blackadder goes Forth.
Back then I didn't expect one of the funniest programmes ever to end with a scene that makes me cry every time I see it.
Every single time.

This is sick.
The Saudi regime has executed Abdullah al-Derazi, under 18 at the time of his alleged crimes, linked to him attending demonstrations against the regime.

In August, the Saudis had executed Jabal Labbad, also arrested as a minor, in his case for attending demonstrations and funerals.

Amnesty said that the execution of Abdullah was just one of a long line of executions

Do Labour think this is a winning strategy with the Scottish elections coming up next year? Just bizarre, I think it alienates voters. It certainly does go for me.
David Lammy is the third senior Labour Gov figure to call the Scottish Government a national security risk this week

Given this government isn't prepared to say this about China .... this is pretty dreadful. What happened to the "family of nations"?

Data from laboratory analysis, meal-based testing, and population comparisons reveal how this mutation reshapes fat processing, alters cholesterol levels, and reduces disease risk despite significant excess weight.

A 15 year old boy with autism went missing earlier this week

He was selling fruit with his family in Springbranch when he disappeared

They filed a missing person’s report & begged the public to help find him

Turns out he was in a Houston ICE detention facility

They kidnapped a disabled child!

It’s not really surprising to me. When Westminster politicians talk down to us and only think of us as an afterthought I expect disillusionment with the British identity. It will be interesting to see what further analysis shows are the trends away from being British.
Analysis in @thetimes.com by @leaskyd.bsky.social & Anna Dowell of the sharp decline in British identity uncovered by the Scottish Social Attitudes survey.

With comment from Sir John Curtice on the polarising of Scottish politics and from myself on the decoupling of Scottish and British identities:
Why Scots are losing their British identity
With only a quarter of respondents to the Scottish Social Attitudes survey identifying with Britishness, Scotland faces a generational political split
