if we want to make politics fair, we ought to eliminate lobbying, donations from any organisations, and large donations from rich people. only individuals would be allowed to donate to parties or candidates and the amount would be always a fixed predetermined amount

Big mining corporations run the government.

Once again, the PM has caved to the mining industry and broken his election promise on environment.

Instead of doing the right thing by the environment, Labor choose their mining donor mates again and again.

How does your MP vote on the issues that matter to you?
Forget what politicians say. What truly matters is what they do. And what they do is vote, to write our laws which affect us all.

Australia has gone from exporting military "items" to the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia to kill Yemenis to deploying Australian troops to kill Yemenis directly.

You guys at @australianlabor.bsky.social truly are deplorable.

This is shocking.
Labor and Liberal governments have passed 49 anti-protest laws across the country over the last two decades.

It is damning (& history will judge us harshly) but no surprise that 🇦🇺 leads the world on climate protest arrests.

Australia leads the world in arresting climate and environment protesters
A new study shows more than 20 per cent of climate and environment protests in Australia lead to arrests, more than in the UK, Norway, and the United States.

how come whomever made these deals are not being investigated for treason?

not sure how it is here, but imi know in other countries giving away the countries strategic natural resources is considered treason
And no - these exports are not the boon for Australia that they want you to believe.

Over half (56%) of gas exported from Australia attracts zero royalty payments, effectively giving a public resource to multinational gas corporations for free.

Get the facts on gas:
Gas: The Facts
Around 80% of Australia’s gas is exported as liquefied natural gas (LNG), the gas industry pays ZERO royalties on more than half the gas exported.

1. In April 2024, California raised the minimum wage for fast food chains to $20/hour

The industry claimed it would be devastating & require significant job cuts and prices increases

Here is what really happened: workers got a raise, prices went modestly, and the industry continued to add jobs
What really happened after California raised its minimum wage to $20 for fast food workers
What would happen to the fast food industry if it had to pay its workers something closer to a living wage?
