I didn’t give a wit about new pope coverage, but the first American pope being a man with Black ancestry born in Chicago by way of New Orleans by way of Haiti. Names his self after the pope who condemned slavery? In the Trump era? Oh, baebae, I am HERE for it.

Pope Leo XIV's grandparents were 7th Ward Creoles
The newly elected pontiff, born in Chicago, has ancestral ties to the city’s historic Seventh Ward, according to genealogists at The Historic New Orleans Collection.

Hi, BlueSky. It's Hillary.

I've joined up here to help get the word out about an important election in Wisconsin tomorrow, and other ways to defend our democracy against those who think votes can be bought.

Yesterday, Puppet Trump made OVER $20 BILLION on a rug pull meme coin that can, and will, be untraceably bought by oligarchs + other countries while he’s “president”. He’s ALREADY made more $ off the presidency than anyone in HISTORY, BUT he doesn’t want YOU to know. Hence the TikTok distraction!

“Not qualified to lead an Applebees.” But we are supposed to take his word that he wants to operate a meritocracy. It’s such a slap in the face to military to assert a lack of qualifications. Meanwhile if these dudes want to lead they should maybe pull themselves up bu the merit of their bootstraps
Just thinking about how when discussing the nomination of Pete Hegseth & how the Secretary of Defense is responsible for leading over 3 million service members with a nearly $1Trillion dollar budget, Sen. Tammy Duckworth said he wasn’t even qualified to lead an Applebees😭💀

Sen. Slotkin asking Hegseth if there is ever an illegal order that could come from the Commander-in-Chief & if he’d refuse to comply, and Hegseth refuses to answer the question.

If Hegseth was genuinely in favor of a meritocracy wouldn’t he just decline the nomination? Just wondering…

Governor Andy Beshear, in a Trump +30 state, gives advice to Democrats: Do not throw LGBTQ+ people under the bus, it will not work.

His advice to dems: Lead on your values.

This man ran on a fully inclusive campaign in 2023 and won. He received the same kind of ads Harris did.

Is Louisiana ready to organize? I really really hope so.
Today my nail tech said “I don’t know who that guy in Florida is but I’m so angry about all those laws. I want to do something.” And then she asked me to help her learn about direct actions, orgs, & resources to follow.

People are ready to organize more than I’ve seen in a long while. It’s go time.
