My 3xggf was in the Wigan Observer in 1870 having been accused, with several others, of 'keeping dogs without having procured licences'. His case was the only one dismissed. 😄

Given my failed attempt to research on #OnePlaceWednesday due to the granddog sitting recently. I think I've found a solution, so the rest of the day will be spent researching dog licences in the UK and Ireland.

That’s it from us for this week’s #OnePlaceWednesday, but #AATP25 continues and we will be sharing another #OnePlaceStudies video via our YouTube channel🔗 at 10am UK time tomorrow, on the theme of Health and Medicine.
#AATP25 is very much *not* the event in its usual format, more a look back at some of the fab things from the two events held so far—with a theme for each day. 👇🏻 However, @projectkin.bsky.social and ourselves will be contributing new material: keep your eyes peeled for details! #OnePlaceWednesday

Whilst taking time to relax in Majorca. I am still fascinated by the local history. A day in Felanitx showed us a small town with a very large parish church. Santa Miquel. #OnePlaceWesnesday

I’m spending #OnePlaceWednesday having a good sort out of materials old and new. I need to create space as I gather more projects. Came across this and wondered if any one else remembers Eve McLaughlin. She was a major help to local people starting out on a FH journey back in the early 80’s

Was thrilled to find this newspaper celebrating Victoria’s diamond jubilee in June 1897. Found in an old antiquities shop for a mere £2.00 has an amazing article about London at the beginning of the Queens reign 1837.

As a young person l spent hours scrolling catalogues to purchase clothes that l could buy for a reasonable shilling or two a month. This #OnePlaceWednesday l am still scrolling catalogues but now it’s local history societies, libraries and planning my visits.
