Dogs ftw
Having a dog in the home could help boost teenagers’ mental health, research suggests, with scientists adding this could in part be down to the sharing of microbes. https://ow.ly/ceux50XBUwF

In short, all criminal prosecutions face hurdles. All of them. But getting a conviction is not the only way to reinforce the meaning and importance of laws. Want law to matter? Start by telling the folks who represent you think it still does. /end

The problem with ICE is not that it's targeting people who aren't criminals. The problem with ICE is that it's an unaccountable secret deportation police. It cannot be reformed under a better president. It can be made less terrible, but the instrument of repression remains for the next tyrant.

All this talk about “reclassifying” what counts as a profession is a distraction from the real trend..women-dominated fields like nursing, teaching, social work, counseling, PA programs, physical therapy, are losing funding, while male-dominated sectors keep the capital flowing. Sadly, sexism is still with us.
Last week's elections showed the power of women voters, who delivered decisive wins for Democrats across the nation. Now, there's a surge in calls to repeal women's right to vote. Could this radical Christian nationalist agenda splinter the MAGA movement or pull them further toward extremism?

This is odd, it looks like the DOJ skipped suing Texas entirely. The Justice Department is now suing California over the new congressional district boundaries that voters approved just last week, Attorney General Pam Bondi announced Thursday in a post on X. Who are they going to sue, the voters?

OK, so our "Secretary of War" currently has two big priorities: (1) murdering innocent fishermen in the Caribbean, and (2) endangering the lives of commuters in Southern California.

Perhaps, we are seeing one of the downsides to having a drunk TV talk show chatterbox running our military.
