Thank you for sharing this - I hadn't seen the original source and sharing this moment without consent of the family felt really gross, even under the circumstances. Glad to know that it was the family that shared it.

This makes me wonder... do other states have a bunker? Do they judge the seriousness of storms by whether or not the governor is in the bunker?

I'm now really disappointed that I didn't think Harbor seal.

He is 16 pounds, but he is afraid of absolutely everything. He channels that fear into rage.

We knew they were separating children from their parents and then subsequently LOSING THE CHILDREN a damn decade ago.

It took me so long to figure out that thread was not a metaphor for the USA right now and was in fact someone live posting their own kidnapping.

I'm a city folk. The movie theaters in the next town are way closer to me than the ones in the city, so I drive to the next town over any time I go to the movies.

I definitely misread this as book, and I now want to read a book where a bookstore witch falls in love with a sweater-knitting goblin and a grumpy cave-dwelling werebear while a ghost friend offers advice and puns.

Do not forget that people are GOOD.
People WANT to help.
People have evolved to be in community and do teamwork.

The jackasses in control of the government want us to forget that. Don't let them get what they want.

This is not a short term fight where we can just go 24/7 and then it will be over. We've got YEARS ahead of us. Take a break. Hydrate. Go bake something. Breathe.

My mother's death was both slow and expected. Writing her obituary was still one of the hardest things I've ever done, and also it wasn't well written. In the midst of extreme trauma and shock, Becca Good has shown us who her wonderful wife was, and also who her killers are. That is so hard to do.
