I want to laugh at how absurd it is that Pete Hegseth was confirmed as AG, but then I remember that I live in the US and my younger brother is joining the military and then I just get filled with rage, not even sadness or disappointment anymore, over how genuinely and dangerously stupid this is.

WE WITHDREW FROM THE WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION??????? The ramifications of this, I like cannot even begin to fathom. The US provides ~18% of WHO funding. That doesn’t just damage us, but literally the entire world. The next pandemic literally just got an express ticket.

I do not condone murder nor violence. Projecting the faults and crimes of an enterprise onto a singular individual is asinine and dangerous. That being said, I also believe that, a few decades from now, the crimes of Luigi Mangione will be viewed as the impetus for a true, societal class, reckoning.
