I don't really care what the "political consequences" are of fighting for the proposition that *everyone* is entitled to due process before they are removed from the United States and sent to a Salvadoran prison.

It's not really a principle if you only adhere to it when it's politically expedient.

Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted… And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right.

This is blood-boiling. Charles Rogers was awarded the Medal of Honor in Vietnam after being wounded three times leading the defense of a position.

Google his name and the entry below comes up. When you click, you'll see the page has been deleted and the URL changed to include "DEI medal."

Fuck these senators! How could they sell us out like that!? They need to all be primaried. This is an embarrassing capitulation.

Wow: JD Vance is apparently skiing in Vermont this weekend and the locals aren’t having it. Thousands have lined the streets in protest.

So, golfing $10.5 million, Super Bowl $20 million, a trip around a racetrack $2.5 million, DHS ads praising him $200 million... it's clear where the waste is.

The opposition needs to hold a daily press briefing of their own (Capitol steps?) to call attention to what's actually happening. We need a coherent & clear voice. Would be better if it was someone who could focus solely on the message and isn't engaged in the daily grind of Congress. (Buttigieg?)

Welp. I guess we're now officially on the Russian side, and while Trump was just tacitly a Putin mouthpiece before he's full steam ahead now. This is pretty much worst-case scenario.

This administration has convinced half the country that the real problem isn’t billionaires who evade taxes and collect government handouts but the working class who pay taxes and get nothing in return.

Yes. But they are missing that much of this has to be performative. That’s what Trump is great at and Dems are awful at.

You can’t just tell voters , you have to know how to sell voters.

Trump gives sales pitches, Dems show charts. One goes viral. The other is ignored and forgotten
This was the way.

We do indeed have a "deep state". It is a testament to the enduring strength of the U.S. government—deep in expertise, deep in commitment to stability, and deep in safeguarding democracy. It’s built on institutional knowledge and resilience. It is a pillar of our society, not a nefarious force.

How much Elon Musk makes from the government a day: $8 million.

How much a senior on Social Security gets a day: $65

Guess which budget Musk and Trump want to cut?

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau literally exists to protect consumers from predatory financial institutions. It's returned over $21 billion to 205 million consumers. The sole result of this move is that Americans will have no recourse when they get screwed over by a bank. Good work Elon 👍
