Even so, I would still struggle to explain why Starmer persists in overseeing a Tory tribute act in No. 10, and in pretending that there's no case for rejoining the EU.
There is a possibility that many of us suffered brain damage from COVID infection. That could help to explain what Trump is getting away with in the US; why there's a serious possibility of Farage becoming UK PM; and why we're continuing along a path to certain extermination of our civilisation.

Whatever the outcome, he should have trusted the experts.

Firstly, it won't 'end the war' it will merely allow Putin to regroup. Secondly, it is totally one-sided and gives Ukraine nothing. 'Security guarantees' meant nothing when Ukraine gave up its nuclear weapons. Thirdly, the frozen Russian assets should never be put into Trump's hands.
