I feel like we’d have a lot less problems if we, as a whole, decided to go back to Gothic and baroque architecture instead of the brutalist/minimalist inspired insipidness that we’ve got going on nowadays 🤷🏽♀️

I’m seeing so many comp posts that set Frankenstein’s Creature side by side with Nosferatu & on the one hand yes it fits cause Gothic cinema is peak lately.

Today I’m thinking of the guide/guard gal in the Scone Palace library who gave the most wistful, from the utter depths of her soul, “me too” sigh, when I said “oh man, I wish we could see some of these 17th/18th century first editions open”.

The list of everything that I loved about this movie is too long & maybe one day I’ll sit & write it but for now the one small detail I loved was in the Creature’s design.
More specifically the fact that one of his eyes reflects/refracts light differently (like a cat!) thus “glowing” in the dark.
