Even if these belligerent policies and rhetoric were magically reversed, and we all said "Oops, sorry about that", it will be a long time (or some serious heavy lifting) before any country takes us seriously as a reliable partner again.

Concentrating so much power in the executive makes the system unstable and presidential elections life or death affairs, which is bad on its own. The most recent non-Trump presidents have had enough respect for norms to not tip over the entire apple cart, but it's Mad King Season now. 6/x
