How do I couple the broken-bodiedness of being a 45 year-old OR nurse with the deep internal radicalization that steers my moral compass? I want to do more. The most I can do right now is help the blind see, & listen to doctors shit pants that a Muslim socialist is gonna be in charge 50 miles away.

I just feel like Long Island is built different, literally. We were the actual first suburbs in the United States, like actually. Robert Moses built this bitch to isolate us from our neighbors as a selling point.

Where I live it is >1hour to any DSA oriented efforts. It’s so rural. Cop headquarters are down the road. Like where they keep their armory is down the road. It’s also an hour to the Hamptons. I live in the weirdest in-between. Privileged but with chronic health. Close to NYC but country as hell.
