Tennessee 7th Congressional District with >95% in:

- 🔴 ☑️ Matt Van Epps (R) - 93,536 (53.9%)
- 🔵 Aftyn Behn (D) - 78,080 (45.0%)

Every county that's done in TN-07 shifted bluer. Davidson came out for Behn, but she needed a bigger overperformance in the other sizable counties near Nashville. Was always going to be tough for Behn to win but the fact that this turned out to be an interesting race might be worth something.

JUST IN: Democrats have flipped the mayor's office in Roswell, Georgia, in tonight's runoff.

GOP Mayor Kurt Wilson conceded earlier tonight to Mary Robichaux, the Dem challenging him.

(This is a city in the Atlanta suburbs, the 9th most populous city in Georgia.)

Davidson County (Nashville) now all in and it's a D+25 shift from last year. A huge individual result for Behn but not enough tonight.
December 3, 2025 at 2:30 AM
Prior to the election, I would have put Van Epps on around 52% of the final vote so this won't be that far off. We're just watching the margins now.

Dickson County is now about all in, Dem shift +12. Not enough for her to win obviously but it's been the trend in other counties.

Some similarity to Jon Ossoff's defeat in 2017, in terms of attention given to a special election.

NYT is putting Van Epps at about 53% when it's all done. Sounds about right. Green got 59.5% in 2024.

If nothing else for Behn, she made it a lot closer and she's winning Davidson by 65 points with 71% reporting.

Shifts from 2024 in those counties which are about done (NYT):

Wayne: D+6.9
Benton: D+8.8
Decatur: D+9.3
Houston: D+12
Perry: D+15

I would like to see the E-Day numbers out of Davidson but as it stands now I think Van Epps probably has it.
December 3, 2025 at 2:03 AM
TN-07 is tracking for a Van Epps win in maybe the mid-single digits if he's lucky. Nowhere near the 21% the GOP won by a year ago.

Ds don't seem to be getting what they need out of Nashville. But if the margin lands at R+3, that's a D+19 shift from 2024 -- we're not talking a wave, we're talking tsunami
again @gelliottmorris.com says behn still has a chance but damn 3 points in this district is 🦇💩
December 3, 2025 at 1:43 AM
Now we need to know what the hell is happening in Williamson County. Last piece to the puzzle and Behn needs a big overperformance there.
December 3, 2025 at 1:43 AM
At this point, very safe to say Behn is going to massively overperform the 2024 Dem results in TN-07. Not convinced she wins, but it's going to be close.
December 3, 2025 at 1:38 AM
Davidson finally drops its EV and Aftyn Behn is in the lead for now. Winning the county 85% to 15%. Great number for her.

Just waiting for the first big Davidson drop.

It's very early, but the first live estimate is R +2.9, which would be almost a 20-point overperformance by the Democrat Behn.

TN-07: Votes are coming in. Most of the counties on the board so far are heavily red counties farther from Nashville.

Polls are CLOSED in TN-07. Let's do this thing, last big special election of the year.
