I haven’t been this excited for a bubble to burst since I was a toddler.
MIT’s NANDA initiative found that 95% of generative AI deployments fail after interviewing 150 execs, surveying 350 workers, and analyzing 300 projects. The real “productivity gains” seem to come from layoffs and squeezing more work from fewer people not AI.

Solo puedo decir que seguimos siendo muchísimas más las personas que no colaboramos ni con el opresor ni con sus herramientas y tenemos las hipotecas felizmente pagadas. Habría que preguntarle a quienes organizan estos despropósitos si pueden decir lo mismo (y a ver qué tal duermen). Qué tristeza.
Ahora resulta que el futuro de la formación para los traductores es prepararlos para adaptarse, transformarse y finalmente «COLABORAR con la IA» 🤦‍♀️ Claro que con ponentes «expertos en traducción automática e inteligencia artificial generativa», ¿qué otra clase de formación podíamos esperar? 🪓

We should stop using the term "translating" when we are talking about what automatic translation systems can do. What they do is processing texts (to try and replicate it using words from a different language). Translating is a human ability.
