“Oh, genius to be near you. Eternally grateful. There is less light in my world, this lucky world that had you, will keep you, always. Always ❤️

The one and ONLY Catherine O’Hara”

Damn, I was not expecting that she'd be leaving us this year, let along this soon and still pretty young. A great comedic talent with many memorable roles, and some we'll always cherish. She's the kind of actor that many aspire to become.

We're now at the point of winter where freezing sounds warm compared to now and the moment I step outside, I instinctively let out my inner Bela Lugosi.

You barely ever get the chance to hear this in a discussion about the Muppets, but this just got real.

"Now, on Fox Kids, it's Eek! The Cat. And after that, a former child star grapples with a physical condition that keeps her from ever growing up and forces her into a state of psychosis that shatters her ability to process reality. And then, Bobby's World!"

Today honestly felt like my first actual day of 2026. After having a car accident just before Christmas, it's just been a whole month of anxiety. But now, I can finally move on with a new car in my possession. I'm happy that I got that upgrade, but I'm more relieved that the stress is all over.

Lost Media I Recall

GameTrailer’s site around 2009 allowed for Users to upload vids

1 was called “Little Big Awesome” looked like an egoraptor parody. Thumbnail is a doodle of Sackboy in that style

He never made a LBP parody

Click

It’s a screamer. TF2 Heavy audio boosted.

And much as I adore The Emperor's New Groove, I've always wished I could visit the timeline where Allers got to finish Kingdom of the Sun exactly the way he wanted it, just so I could swipe a blu-ray copy, bring it back here and see what we missed.

Roger Allers deserved better. RIP good sir.

I’ve never seen a big thread like this that is all dedicated to the absolute takedown of a person and how their legacy is just an illusion. If you got the time, check out this thread about John Lasseter and his impact (or lack of) in the animation industry

And speaking of which, can we stop saying that Disney’s making a full 2D feature again?

Because Disney themselves haven’t made the word yet and even with the teases from both CCO’s of Disney Animation and even Eric Goldberg, nothing’s confirmed yet.

And by the way, do you wanna know why we didn’t have a solo woman directed film at Pixar until Turning Red 10 years later?

It’s him.

This was heartbreaking to learn about today. Roger Allers was not only a director who brought us The Lion King and 2014's The Prophet, but also a key player of the Disney Renaissance. We sadly lost a true animation legend, and I hope he will never be forgotten.

Just a reminder that you've never seen a Calvin & Hobbes animated movie or cartoon is because Bill Watterson didn't want to give Hobbes a voice so he could always live inside your head exactly the way you imagined him. And to this day you have no idea who he ever has voted for. But you can guess.
