The LGBTQ+ community is facing a seemingly endless wave of attacks — bans on gender-affirming care, anti-trans legislation, cuts to HIV funding. It is chilling. And deliberate.

However, every time they tried to write us out, we wrote ourselves back in—louder, prouder, and more determined than ever.

A Refuge From Censorship: Why Independent Bookstores Will Save Us

So deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Andrea Gibson. Their poetry will always be some of my favorites.
Meg is doing an absolutely beautiful job continuing their legacy by writing and sharing about things that don’t suck.

Truly, what do you do with their toothbrush? 💕🙏

There's no way this is just about "finances," given that they had plenty of finances to bribe Trump. A shame. Colbert is so funny and kind and generous, especially to writers.

Why are we always more fearful of kids “falling behind” the latest tech than being its guinea pigs? Why do we listen to tech companies when designing our schools? Why don’t we pay teachers more? All these questions are connected

As usual, big business plans to use schools and kids as guinea pigs to push their agendas and make money.

Stop pushing AI on teachers. Research shows time and time again that best practices and good teaching are never about a program or a specific tech tool.

New crochet series finished! 🧶 Wave, Sunset, Meadow

Coral reef? Seed pods? Alien blobs? It’s in the eye of the beholder. I just wanted to play with color gradients.

Each piece is 5x5”, made of 150-200 individual elements, crocheted from embroidery thread on a 1.25
mm hook and sewn onto canvas.

Interesting take on why many students have stopped reading. The clear way to ignite regular, engaged reading is known by teachers: time in school to read at their own pace, choice in what they read, & access to many, many books.

It’s about love…what we love to read is as individual as we are. ❤️
