I just don’t see how we can pretend even for a moment that anything involving our federal government is remotely normal when the president is covering up his involvement in a child sex trafficking ring. Like, what are we doing here

One of my oldest (in duration) clients is going to become a US citizen next week (yay!). I was excited that her oath ceremony was scheduled for a day when I'll be in her city so I could attend. Lo and behold USCIS moved the ceremony one day earlier. Happy for her but sad I can't be there now!

I see long posts like this from Trump these days, and it's like the teacher from Charlie Brown. Wha, wha, wha. It's just boring gibberish, and I don't have to listen (or read).
I like the idea of Democrats having “withering power.”

I think they hate us. Feeling is mutual.
President Donald Trump's administration said on Friday it was formally withdrawing a plan by his predecessor to require airlines to pay passengers cash compensation when U.S. flight disruptions are caused by carriers.

1. BREAKING

The US Conference of Catholic Bishops has issued a statement admonishing the Trump administration’s immigration actions.

The last time they issued such a statement was in 2013 in response to contraception mandates.

Wow! A new low for Ken Paxton. His deranged press release claims that there cannot be any legitimate purpose for legal defense for people facing deportation — effectively saying that removal defense is not legitimate and only “radicals” would want people to have lawyers.

Horrid stuff from him.

I'm ok with a shortage if they leave now.
Duffy: "By the time we leave, President Trump says we're gonna have all the controllers America needs to control our airspace." (I look forward to next flying in 2029 then!)

Temporary Protected Status (TPS) ended last Friday for more than 600,000 Venezuelans living in the United States. Many are shuttering their businesses, selling their homes, and boarding planes to leave the country, while others are still scrambling to find a new legal pathway to stay in the country.

🚨 💰 WOW — @SenatorHagerty & @MarshaBlackburn snuck a provision into the spending bill that would let them sue the government for $500,000 because Jack Smith looked into their phone records around Trump’s insurrection.

Is this guy really this ignorant?
Comer: "This is a fake economy. You can't have 1/3 of America receiving some type of free government healthcare and then have another 1/3 that's getting a subsidized rate. That falls on the final 1/3 that's having to pay increased premiums."

"mega detention centers"

Sheesh - put away the thesaurus and just call them concentration camps already. They are concentrating people in one place to await further (mis/mal)treatment.

The coordinated nature of this—none are facing voters in 2026—means that either Schumer approved it or failed in his job as Senate Majority Leader to stop it.

Dems voting "no" get zero credit until they demand a change in leadership. Schumer out as Leader, Durbin out as Whip.
so currently defectors are:

Kaine (2030)
Shaheen (Retiring)
Hasan (2028)
Fetterman (2028)
Durbin (Retiring)
CCM (2028)
Rosen (2030)
King (2030)

Democrats have to stop bailing out Republicans from facing the consequences of their own policies. And yeah, that means they have to stop sparing voters from experiencing what GOP government truly means.

Every time Dems step in, it only emboldens the GOP & they make it even worse the next time.
So Democrats get:

1. A CR that will prevent the GOP from facing the wrath of Americans for a shutdown over the holidays

2. A coupon for one (1) meaningless ACA vote that will fail

3. An end to the illegal RIF/SNAP moves that are already before the courts

Those all seem like wins for the GOP.

This makes me so angry. Healthcare costs will skyrocket. The bill Dems want won't pass. And no protections from Trump doing whatever he wants with funding they vote for. Those who vote for this are either ok supporting the lawless president or being promised something personal.
"More than enough" Senate Democratic Caucus members to pass shutdown deal led by Shaheen, King and Hassan, source familiar with deal says

- CR through Jan. 30
- ACA bill vote on bill of Dems' choosing in December
- Minibus has RIF reversals and "protections" against them in future

If Dems cave, Schumer might as well buy an elephant and a MAGA hat.

The Giants defense seems to be deliberately losing every game in the 4th quarter.
November 9, 2025 at 9:04 PM
I mean, with all the gambling stuff going on... does someone need to look at this team? Defense gives up in 4th quarter of every game.
I see the Giants are ready to blow a 4th quarter lead again.

Call the United States Capitol switchboard at (202) 224-3121 and they will connect you with your senator's office.

If you're represented by one of the squishier centrists, be sure to make a call. Now.
Sounds like the squishes in the senate caucus are ready to pull the plug with no ACA changes. This is real. If you want to register your opinion you shld call yr senator in the next hour. They not only want to reopen w/nothing. They want cover from their colleagues who still want to hold out.
