We just hit 1M+ daily queries on Kagi!

It might be a drop in the bucket by comparison, but with Kagi, each search is intentional, user-funded, free from ads and surveillance, and designed to serve you.

Thank you to our community. Here’s to many more milestones together.

I've only done a bit of Gleam, but interesting to read cases like this. Will probably reach for it on my next personal project that calls for it.
“We do have systems that are written in mainstream programming languages like Python and JavaScript, but our strategy is to pick the best tool for the job, not just the most popular. Gleam was a good fit for our requirements.”

If you want to start a community, the best tips I can give you are:

DO
- Have a code of conduct
- Get moderators once your community gets past a certain size
- Make it about the members, not yourself

DON'T
- Expect people to see the world the way you see it
- Ignore feedback from community members

rejoice, for no more app passwords!

Does anyone have experience using GrapheneOS while still using some Google services? Still on the fence and I'd be interested to hear some thoughts. Can't completely degoogle at this point.

Set up a self hosted service

Realize I should create a better back up scheme

Give up and look into better cloud options

Register for cloud service

Why am I paying for this cloud service?

another day, another ship! 🚀

this time, it's format-patch and interdiffs!

you can now paste a git-format-patch series in the UI to create a PR; and internally we use format-patch for branch/fork pulls as well.

this allows us to list commits per-round—and also merge the entire patch-series as-is.

New #neovim plugin, javelin.nvim. Just felt like making my own version of harpoon, mainly since I wanted the jump list to be the same no matter where I am in a git repo. Hosting on both @tangled.sh and sourcehut for now.

Just found out you can get an RSS feed of GitHub commits on specific files on openrss.org, which means you can track #NixOS package changes. For example, jj on nixos-unstable linked on this post.

I'm liking that sr.ht isn't trying to be a GitHub clone like every other alternate forge. Will try it out for a little while, but at this point I'll probably be switching to it. GitHub's almost monopoly could use some good competition.

I've been away from the Linux desktop space for several years now. #Hyprland has been a pretty enjoyable experience after getting over the initial learning curve. It's nice to have a dev environment refresh to keep up motivation.

jj vcs seems really cool, but the current authentication situation is rough. Once it gets ironed out a bit I'll definitely give it a serious try.
