A terrorist targeted federal workers last week. There wasn’t much reporting on it. But I’m not finished thinking about it! 🧵

An anti-vaxxer fired more than 500 gunshots into CDC Atlanta, shattering 150 “blast-proof” windows on 6 buildings. Employees were pinned down in terror.

Resign 1 week early so Harris becomes the 47th president and it screws up all the 47 merch Trump and his grifters are sitting on.

This from Jill Filipovic sums it up for me:

"In the coming days there's gonna be a lot of opining about what the Harris campaign did wrong, but this election was not an indictment of Kamala Harris. It was an indictment of America."

“if she’d just done X she would have won”

no

I have plenty of critiques of the campaign but ultimately the entire god damn country just went right by five points at least, everywhere, despite whatever you call Trump’s campaign

none of us know how she could have won and that’s the problem

A country willingly chose, by all accounts a big enough margin with the popular vote, a convicted felon, a rapist, a fascist.

2016 sucked because there was a naivete about it: "How could people choose the sexist reality TV monster over a real politician!?"

2024 sucks because there's *no* naivete about it: people are embracing a fascist knowingly, and there are fewer stopgaps to slow him down. They want this.
