Who benefits from the abolition of stamp duty land tax?

The first answer: people buying very expensive homes. Average saving for someone buying a £10m+ home is £1.7m. Average saving for someone buying a £250k-£500k home is £5k.

Under UK law, a company can make £200m+ in sales and still hide its profit & loss by calling itself “small”.

That’s how PPE Medpro kept its finances secret.

Tice on tv again for some reason. Claims crime is out of control in London. Reporter points out serious
violent crime and murder are down. Tice’s answer is that nobody reports crime anymore.
I’m fairly sure murder and serious violent crime are reported quite well.

What you hear a lot from sympathetic politicians and commentators is that these protestors have valid grievances and need to be listened to. Tell me, what is to be gained from listening to thugs who chase someone around while calling him a paedophile?

Nigel Farage has, inevitably, said that this ruling means “Illegal migrants have more rights than the British people under Starmer”.

The court’s short summary makes it explicit in two separate places that didn’t even enter into its reasoning, which centred on criteria for injunction.
"We should say at the outset what this appeal hearing is not about: it is not concerned with the merits of Government policy in relation to the provision of accommodation for asylum seekers, in hotels or otherwise."
