£35m is a good fee for Johnson (we overpaid) and I’m hoping agreeing with little fuss is a sign things really have changed now Levy has gone. He’d be dragging it out until the end of Jan just to get Palace to throw in an extra £1m and a car air freshener

A decent away performance all things considered. Football wasn’t great for long periods but we improved in the last 20 mins and saw the game out well. Subs all had an impact

If you don’t have a plan for how to score goals then you’re reliant on the ability of individual players, as Mourinho and Conte were. They had Kane and Son. Frank also has no plan, and no one anywhere their level. Our failure to replace either of those players is beyond negligent

We’ve had an eight day break. Christmas aside, what have Frank and the players been doing? Because I see precious little evidence of a plan to win this game or effective coaching to put it into place. So far it’s very much in keeping with the flavourless sludge we serve up in 90% of games

Last game of 2025, bringing to an end one of the strangest years in the club’s history. On one hand there’s our first trophy in 17 yrs. On the other…is everything else. Biggest issue for me is less the dour football and dismal results, it’s squandering the good feeling and momentum from the EL win
