An ongoing thread of deranged UK media coverage of migrants and asylum seekers
Kids were playing hide and seek while I finished up at work. Son was so well hidden that, when I came out of my office, I found my daughter (7) in floods of tears and makeshift missing persons posters plastered the house appealing: "Have you seen my brother?"

Glad to win, of course, but it doesn’t change my mind

Well that was *a lot* better than everyone expected.

A much improved performance in every area of the pitch.

That said, Dortmund have been ABSYMAL

Wilson Odobert has two assists tonight.

He only had one in his previous 28 appearances this season

Why was McCoist so desperate for that not to be a red? If it was Romero he’d be calling for an arrest
January 20, 2026 at 8:27 PM
ROMERO!

Just play him up front already

The people running Tottenham remain paralysed by indecision. Frank should have gone weeks ago yet it appears that, rather than putting plans in place in the meantime, they still can't make their minds up over what to do with him, despite further terrible performances and results.

Suggestion is Frank will get Dortmund on Tues. This should be of little comfort to him. On current count we'll be missing 13 first team players due to injury, suspension or ineligibility. He'll need a cobbled together starting XI (with no fully fit midfielders) and a bench full of kids to save him

Has he gone yet?

I’m off to see Fellowship of the Ring at the cinema with my family, which is about the only thing that will cheer me up right now

The only person who benefits from dragging this out is @jackpittbrooke.bsky.social, as it gives him more time to work on his ‘What went wrong for Thomas Frank at Tottenham’ long-read
January 17, 2026 at 5:41 PM
Frank has got to go.

That's all there is to say

Once again Romero takes it upon himself to drag us up from the floor

I cannot believe he’s subbed Tel again
January 17, 2026 at 4:27 PM
Gray off for Bissouma?!? That better be injury related (as bad as that sounds) because, if not, that is an atrocious substitution
January 17, 2026 at 4:10 PM
I’d say Frank has 45 minutes to save his job but the people running the club appear to have given him carte blanche to stink the place out until the end of the season

More boos ring out around Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and rightly so. Another dreadful half of passive Frankball. Second best to a poor team in terrible form. I cannot overstate how pathetic it is to be playing at home against this West Ham team only to throw up a non-performance like that
