A really incredible piece of testimony and journalism. Thanks, @minakimes.bsky.social for recommending it.

As some of us used to sat back in the day, this is very much a @facinghistory.bsky.social story
Really loved this Times Magazine story by a reporter whose father died in the Lockerbie bombing, and the pursuit of justice--and what that pursuit actually means, if anything.

Found it exceptionally well-written and moving.

Hey @redsox.com, any sense of when it'll be determined if tonight's game is on or not?

Trying not to think about it now, but this is probably the last time we're going see some of these guys as Celtics. Tremendous appreciation for what they've done and how they've carried themselves. Last year's team was my favorite I've ever covered, in any season, in any sport.

Does Mike Vrabel think Will Campbell projects as an LT in the NFL? If so, it's weird he doesn't say so. He only acknowledges that Campbell played OT at LSU

Ben Bradlee coined the phrase 'non-denial denial'

Vrabel answering questions about Campbell at LT feels like a non-endorsement endorsement

Great thread here for #Patriots fans and those who like a little offense line film
As promised, the Will Campbell thread.

In this thread I will show you some of my concerns of him as an OT, and why I think he has pro bowl potential as an OG.

The thread is 14 clips. All of these issues are present in his games. Think of it as a representative sample vs cherry picking.

Great thread here on how to think about and use consensus draft rankings
Talking to @arif.bsky.social somewhere in the deep chasm that was the 90 minutes before Sam showed up, I was reflecting on the consensus board and since he's arguing about it I fear we're entering a point where consensus is becoming gospel, which is the exact opposite of its purpose

A class act his whole time in Foxborough

Deatrich Wise, you are appreciated and you will be missed

Respect!
In my first year (2017) covering the #Patriots, I was granted a quick 1-on-1 interview with then-rookie Deatrich Wise, Jr.

We spoke about his time at Arkansas and his excitement and pride for being a Patriot

A true leader on and off the field!

Best of luck in DC, Deatrich!

Listening to #Patriots fans object to Armand Membou b/c they don't know if he can switch sides feels like the worst kind of 'prioritizing immediate gratification' thinking.

Yes, to compete for a championship we will need a better LT than Lowe. We will have more than one chance to address this.

In this situation, the Patriots get Abdul Carter or Travis Hunter.

So, yes.
So after days 1 and 2 of free agency…we’re left with four teams who obviously need QBs (TEN, NYG, CLE, PIT) and two starter candidate FAs (Rodgers + Wilson).

Let’s play musical chairs and guess who sits where

Rodgers > PIT
Wilson + Sanders > NYG
Cousins + Dart > TEN
Ward > CLE

So, reflecting on the bowls and the combine, here's an updated take on how the #Patriots could/should draft...

Principles:

(1.) Free agency / draft are much deeper in defensive talent; will be very hard to find receivers & offensive linemen; in free agency expect to overpay
